Learning tarot can feel like an incredibly daunting task with so much information (and misinformation!) surrounding it. Should you read purely from intuition or memorize traditional meanings? Why are there four suits and what are they for? What's the difference between major and minor arcana? Should you panic when you pull the tower card???

This private, one on one basic course teaches you everything you need to know to get started with tarot, and includes a brief history, shuffling techniques, symbolism of card groups, basic spreads, and more.

You will receive a copy of class notes for your reference before class. Please have a deck of your choosing handy for some hands on practice. We will be using Rider Waite Smith based decks for this class, not Thoth or Marseilles. If you are not sure which tradition your deck is based in, message me. Usually, if they do not say specifically Thoth or Marseilles on the package, their imagery and symbolism is based on Rider Waite Smith.
